February 19, 1928 - August 5, 2011

Beattyville - Rev. Glenn Douglas Byrnside, 83, husband of Gail, passed away Friday August 5, 2011 at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, KY. Glenn was born in Logan, West Virginia on February 19, 1928, to the late Jack and Marion (Taylor) Byrnside. He was a minister with the Pentecostal Church, a veteran both the United States Army and Navy during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, 2 sons; Ted Byrnside and George Byrnside both of Cincinnati, OH, 5 daughters; Linda Lyons and Nancy Asha both of Cincinnati, OH, Deloris Moore of Erlanger, KY, Kathy Bass of Mainville, OH, and Cindy Griffith of Lockland, OH, 3 stepsons; Allen Perkins of Indianapolis, IN, Clifford Perkins of Clay City, KY, and Clayton Perkins of Cherry Fork, OH, 2 stepdaughters; Polly Glahuskie of Memphis, TN, and Mary Bowlin of Sardinia, OH, and a host of other loving family members and friends. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son; Glenn Douglas Byrnside, and 1 brother Robert Taylor. Funeral services along with Military Rites from Three Forks Post # 11296 VFW will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2011 10:00 AM at The Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor David Palmer officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday August 9, 2011 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Glenn will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, located in the Pebworth community in Owsley Co.
