BEATTYVILLE - Junius Fox, Sr., age 83, widower of Lucille (Hogan) Fox, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010, at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence, KY. Junius was born in Beattyville, KY, on October 27, 1926, the son of the late Harve and Sarah (Brandenburg) Fox. He was retired from the Ford Motor Company in Sharonville, OH, where he worked as a Transmission Specialist. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Proctor Chapter 213, the Shriners, the Grace Baptist Church, Beattyville, KY, and a US Army veteran, having served in WWII, and the Korean Conflict.. Junius is survived by 2 sons; Junius Fox, Jr. of Dayton, KY, and Adam Fox of Burlington, KY, 9 daughters; Peggy McGraw of Fl, Wilma Coots, Lynn Skinner, Robin Booth, and Becky Reese, all of Florence, KY, Leona Humbert of OH, Brenda Jones of Williamstown, KY, Lisa Fox of Burlington, KY, and Amy Gibson of Beattyville, KY, 26 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. Other survivors include 1 sister; Emmajean Couch of Seattle, Washington, and a host of friends and relatives. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one son; Samuel Douglas Fox. Funeral services with military rites by the Three Forks Post # 11296 VFW, will be Thursday, April 15th, 2010, at 11:00 AM, at the Booneville Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Jones officiating. Visitation with Masonic rites will be Wednesday, April 14, 2010, 6:00 - 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Burial in the Fox Family Cemetery, Beattyville, KY, with the Booneville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Webster, Jay Junius Fox III, Caleb Gibson, Austin Reese, Watson Jones, Matthew Fox, Charles Booth III, and Cory Ash.
