Charles Bowling

Booneville, KY – Charles “Charlie” Bowling, age 70, husband of Barbara (Ross) Bowling, departed this life on Monday, November 10, 2014, from injuries sustained in a farming accident. Charlie was born on October 2, 1944, in Hyden, Leslie County, KY to the late Justus Tucker Sr. and Katie (Deaton) Bowling. He had worked in the oil fields, coal mines and on the family farm. Charlie enjoyed playing rook, golf outings with his son, Anthony, going “back home” to Bowlingtown, UK basketball, Cincinnati Reds baseball and the nightly broadcast of Fox and Friends news. He was a member of the Warrens Chapel Church located in the Vincent community of Owsley County, and a Kentucky Colonel. Charlie loved the Lord his church family, and wanted to see all of his family in church on Sunday mornings. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years; 1 son: Anthony (Megan) Bowling of Beattyville, KY, 2 daughters: Natasha (Joe) Lucas of Beattyville, KY and Shenia Noe of Vincent, KY, 2 brothers; Justus Tucker (Kathleen) Bowling, Jr., of Vincent , KY and Don Deaton of San Antonio, TX, 2 Sisters; Carrie Elizabeth Bowling of Vincent, KY and Betty Davis of Cincinnati, OH., 2 sister in laws; Iva Lee Bowling and Violet Bowling, 1 brother in law; Bob Terry, 6 grandchildren: Charles Tyler Noe, Brittney Shenise Noe, Joseph Wyatt Lucas, Katie Beth Lucas, Brayden Paul Bowling, and Bryson Justus Bowling, along with a host of other loving special nieces, nephews family members and friends. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers; Thomas Clyde, Clarence Edward and Infant Paul Bowling, 1 sister; Agnes Terry, 2 brother in laws; Joe Bowling and Ron Davis; 3 sister in laws; Janet Sue Bowling, Hazel Bowling and Lyn Deaton, 1 son in law; Jimmy Noe, 2 nephews; Bobby and Steven Bowling. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014, at 1:00 PM at Warrens Chapel Church with Pastor David Fox and Reverend J. Jamison Brunk officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 6:00-9:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home.
