Booneville, KY- Bessie Creech, age 89, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Heritage Hills Living Center in Greensburg, IN. Bessie was born May 19, 1925, in Ida May, KY, a daughter to the late Fleman Ross and Florence Coomer Ross. She was a seamstress, working for Derby Caps in Louisville, KY for many years. In her free time Bessie enjoyed quilting. She is survived by 1 daughter; Earlene Johnson of Batesville, IN, 4 step-daughters; Sally Deaton, Sharon Deaton and Jean Deaton all of Middletown, OH and June Carol of Nicholasville, KY, 3 step-sons; Jackie Deaton, Johnny Deaton and Eddie Deaton all of Middletown, OH, 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; Homer Creech, 2 sisters; Polly Creech and Callie Creech, 3 brothers; Earnest Ross, Charlie Ross and Albert Ross, 1 granddaughter; Christal Johnson. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Booneville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Booneville Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Baker officiating.
